Mishima 三島

Mishima City is located in the prefecture of Shizuoka in the northern part of Izu PeninsulaIts population (110,000 in 2007) has expanded since the Shinkansen line made it possible to commute into Tôkyô within less then one hour. Mishima is a temple town and famous for the Mishima-taisha shrine and its former post station of the old Tôkaidô.
