Renzo PIANO

1937 born in Genua / Italy
1964 graduates from Polytechnic University of Milan
1965-68 teaches at Polytechnic University of Milan
1965-70 worked with Louis I. Kahn in Philadelphia
1971-77 founds office with Richard Rogers in Paris
                 for the common project "Centre Pompidou"
1977-81 collaborates with engineer Peter Rice
1981 founds "Renzo Piano Building Workshop"
1995 receives arts prize Praemium Imperiale awarded by
         the imperial family of Japan
         receives the Dutch Erasmus Prize
1998 receives Pritzker Architecture Price
1999 designs a watch for the Swatch Summer Collection
2008 becomes honorary citizen of Sarajevo
2013 appointed as Senator for life in Italy
