Shirokanedai
is a wealthy district of Minato Ward and a
mostly quiet residential area. Shopping facilities and apartment
buildings are densely spread along the Meguro-dôri and Sakura-dôri. The Gaien Nishi-dôri, popular
known as "Platinum Street", is the most famous boulevard in this area
and favoured for its modern boutiques, cafés and
restaurants. The Tôkyô Metropolitan
Teien Art Museum, which was previously the residence of Prince
Asaka, the Happô-en
garden and the Meiji Gakuin
University are some of the highlights in Shirokanedai.
