1883  born in Berlin / Germany 1908  breaking of his architectural study at the          Technischen Hochschule Charlottenburg and          works for Peter Behrens, who had worked with          Le Corbusier and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe 1910  own architectural office büro in Alfeld / Leine 1929  receives honorary doctorate of the TH Hannover 1934  moves to England 1937  emigrates to the USA 1954  visits Japan 1958  receives Großes Verdienstkreuz mit Stern 1969  passed away in Boston / USA
